This qualification will suit you if you are a practicing electrician either involved in, or looking to become involved in, the practical inspection and testing of electrical equipment (e.g. portable appliances). In a commercial environment, regulations insist that every item of electrical equipment is tested and certified as being safe to use. For electrical contractors this can be seen as a potentially lucrative new service to add – and one that is required by industry at all levels. The course allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required to test portable electrical appliances with the Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
