Intermediate Appreniceship in Plumbing

Overview
This course is for candidates who want to work as plumbers in the building services engineering sector. It allows candidates to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the plumbing sector. It allows candidates to progress into employment, or to the following City & Guilds qualifications: Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating or Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing Studies.

  • 201 – Health and safety in building services engineering
  • 202 – Electrical principles and processes for building services engineering
  • 203 – Scientific principles for domestic, industrial and commercial plumbing
  • 204 – Common plumbing processes
  • 205 – Cold water systems
  • 206 – Domestic hot water systems
  • 207 – Sanitation
  • 208 – Central heating systems
  • 209 – Drainage systems
  • 210 – Understand how to communicate with others within building services engineering

 

Entry Requirements:
No formal qualifications are required; however it is recommended that candidates have Basic Skills at level 2.
